Many resources available at Roller Weight Loss & Advanced Surgery

No matter where you are in your weight loss journey, Roller Weight Loss & Advanced Surgery (RWL) provides many resources for patients along the way. For those who are curious about weight loss surgery, RWL hosts educational seminars in multiple platforms to offer convenience for those interested in exploring surgery. Both live and online seminars are hosted multiple times a month. Click here for details. During these seminars, patients have the opportunity to learn about surgery candidacy, life after surgery, lifestyle changes and insurance information as well as an opportunity to meet with Dr. Josh Roller and his team.

The staff at RWL requests that each prospective patient attends one of the free informational weight loss seminars before scheduling their first appointment.

In addition to the weight loss seminars, RWL also provides support groups for patients. The groups meet and discuss various topics related to the challenges many patients face.

Support groups meet during these times:

  • Fayetteville – Fourth Tuesday of each month from 6-7 p.m.
  • Fort Smith – Second Tuesday of each month from 6-7 p.m.
  • All seminars take place at the office in either Fayetteville or Fort Smith

Though friends and relatives are indispensable, support groups made up of other patients can also facilitate your transition to a new lifestyle, and we believe it’s important to attend group meetings in your first post-operative year and beyond. Both pre- and post-operative patients are welcome and encouraged to attend. Members of your support group can provide encouragement, and ideas, share personal stories of struggle and success, offer recipes, and even trade clothing.

Support group sessions feature a guest speaker addressing topics covering before and after surgery. Your support person should also attend these meetings. If you’re just considering weight loss surgery, attending one of our support groups can be a great way to find out more from people who have actually undergone the procedure and make contacts for the future.
