Our team is also able to follow our patients for years to come after weight loss surgery, which ensures long-term weight loss success, avoiding weight regain, and preventing any possible nutritional issues.
Roller Weight Loss & Advanced Surgery offers all of the available surgical weight loss procedures: Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, Traditional and Modified Duodenal Switch, Lap Band procedure, vertical sleeve gastrectomy, and the Orbera intragastric Balloon. Dr. Josh Roller, Dr. Yong Kwon, Dr. Josh Mourot, and Dr. Jaime Dutton perform all of these procedures using advanced, minimally invasive surgical techniques (laparoscopic surgery). These techniques lead to a much quicker recovery and much less pain than the other traditional methods. Our facilities are state-of-the-art, and patients have the benefit of private rooms during their brief hospital stays. Further, our office is the most advanced Bariatric Surgery office in the country, offering patients the convenience of getting their entire preoperative in the clinic. This helps patients save significant time and money by avoiding lots of days off work and fees at multiple different sites.
The Surgeons at Roller Weight Loss & Advanced Surgery are the only group of fellowship-trained bariatric surgeons in Arkansas and Oklahoma and perform more than 99% of their procedures using minimally invasive surgical techniques. We have helped patients from across Arkansas, eastern Oklahoma, southern Missouri and southeastern Kansas achieve substantial, lasting weight loss, and it is our goal to be the premier Arkansas bariatric surgery program. Patients from across the country travel to see Dr. Roller for weight loss surgery based on his National recognition for excellence in Weight loss surgery. Patients have come from New York, Oregon, Florida, Michigan and Georgia to receive these life-saving weight loss procedures.

Weight Loss Surgery
The goal of weight loss surgery is to help you live better, healthier and longer. Weight loss or bariatric surgery is major surgery, and many things must be considered by both surgeon and patient before going forward with the procedure. The surgery can contribute to major weight loss and improvement of obesity-related health problems, but you will have to make behavioral and dietary changes to achieve lasting weight loss results.
Weight loss surgery is not cosmetic surgery. It is life-saving surgery. Successful weight loss surgery often results in better mobility, more energy, higher confidence, and more self-esteem, these are some of the positive side effects of weight loss. The true goal of the surgery is to restore your health.
We invite you to attend one of our seminars, online or in-person, to learn more and ask questions of our surgeons and professional staff. They will be able to answer your questions clearly and explain the details of the procedure, the recovery, and the changes you will need to make to have a successful result.
During your first appointment at Roller Weight Loss & Advanced Surgery, you will meet with our Bariatric Medical Specialist and an extensive medical evaluation will be conducted. All the appropriate tests will be performed at this appointment and any necessary consultations from other specialists will be placed. In addition, you will meet with one of our bariatric dieticians to review both pre- and post-op nutritional plans. You will also be evaluated by our bariatric psychologist if clinically indicated or required by your insurance company.
It is important to remember that there are no ironclad guarantees in any kind of medicine or surgery. There can be unexpected outcomes in even the simplest procedures. What can be said, however, is that weight loss surgery will only succeed when you make a lifelong commitment to increasing your activity level, eating healthier, and attending all of the required follow-up appointments at our office. Because we want to see you succeed, we offer help along the way, including support groups every month and a very active online community for our patients.
Ultimately, the decision to have weight loss surgery is up to you. Be honest with yourself about whether you’re ready, and we will be here for you when you make your decision.
The first step your weight loss journey is to register for one of our weight loss seminars. We offer these seminars in both live and online formats.
