What is the Orbera Gastric Balloon?
Orbera is a balloon that is temporarily placed in the stomach for a maximum of six months to help you feel less hunger. You can expect most of the weight loss to occur during the six months while the Orbera is in place.

How does it work? Will I lose weight?
What is the procedure?
The placement and removal of Orbera are fairly simple procedures and are completed endoscopically, without any incisions. If you’re a candidate for the Orbera balloon, it will be placed by Dr. Roller, the region’s most experienced Orbera provider. This procedure does not require any surgical incisions, nor do patients need to undergo general anesthesia. Placement and removal typically take just 15 minutes and are completed on an outpatient basis.

Benefits of Orbera
If you have concerns about undergoing weight loss surgery or need to lose some weight to become eligible for a bariatric procedure, you deserve to experience the benefits of FDA-approved Orbera.
- No incisions
- No stitches
- Removable
- FDA-approved
- Effective
- Non-invasive
What is the procedure?
The Orbera gastric balloon is inserted into the stomach through your mouth, which requires about 20 minutes to complete. You will be under mild sedation to make the procedure comfortable and painless. Once the deflated balloon is in place, it will be filled with sterile saline, inflating the balloon. The grapefruit-sized, saline-filled balloon now takes up some of the space in your stomach. It slows digestion and makes you feel full after consuming much less food.
A six-month guided weight loss program
